MSU Law GenSan highlights childhood games and friendly sports on Law Week Day 2
As the Law Week progressed on its second day, April 13, 2024, a spirited competition among the four teams (Amihan, Alena, Pirena and Danaya) converged in the MSU-CETD gymnasium, followed by the basketball championship games, with the announcement of winners concluding the night.
Law students went back to the grassroots of Filipino childhood – Larong Pinoy. Amihan, Alena, Pirena, and Danaya sought to carry off the first place in Patintero, Pinoy Henyo and Pukpok Palayok.
Danaya clinched the championship spot for Patintero after outscoring Amihan, 8-5. Likewise, Alena snatched from Pirena in facing Danaya as they secured a win, 9-4. With both teams rallying for victory, the organizers determined the winner by rock, paper, and scissors – Danaya being hailed as the champion. Pinoy Henyo followed and Alena claimed victory with a score of 3, followed by Amihan with 2, and Perena and Danaya, both with 1.The final event for the morning was the Pukpok Palayok. After all had made their swing, Alena emerged triumphant, followed by Danaya, Pirena and Amihan.
Announcement of winners followed the night, with Mu Kappa Phi MKP bagging the Best Muse as represented by Raikha Barra while Best Banner was awarded to Sultan Exclusive Law Fraternity and Sorority. All in all, Alena garnered the championship for Best House, followed by Danaya (1st runner up), Pirena (2nd runner up) and Amihan (3rd runner up). The Mu Kappa Phi was hailed as champions for the Inter-frat Basketball games, the Barbarians garnering 1st runner up, followed by the Beta Sigma Lambda for 2nd runner up and Sultan Exclusive Law Fraternity and Sorority as 3rd runner up.
The last day for Law Week 2024 shall continue on its 3rd and last day today, April 14, 2024 with the friendship game between the Esquires and the IBP Basketball team and the Alumni Night.
